Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 teaspoon culinary-grade dried lavender buds
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1 cup milk of choice (whole, oat, almond, etc.)
  • 12 teaspoons sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or simple syrup)
  • 1 white or light green tea bag (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat water just below boiling in a saucepan.
  2. Add lavender buds and optional tea bag, cover and steep for 3–4 minutes.
  3. Strain immediately using a fine mesh strainer.
  4. Warm milk gently in a separate pot without boiling. Froth if desired.
  5. Combine the strained lavender tea with warm milk.
  6. Stir in sweetener to taste.
  7. Serve hot or chill and serve over ice for an iced version.

Notes

Start with a small amount of lavender and avoid over-steeping to prevent bitterness. Garnish with dried buds or a fresh sprig for visual appeal.
